Purpose
All orders placed with Mauromorabito.com imply full and unreserved acceptance of the following general terms.

Signed order form
Each service request (for interpreting, translation, event organization, linguistic and cultural training, tuition, etc.) shall include a written and signed order form by the client, i.e. a legally binding contract, without which Mauromorabito.com reserves the right not to start the work.

Terms for Interpreting services

• Mauromorabito.com offers and provides simultaneous (including chuchotage or whispered interpreting), consecutive and liaison interpreting service.
• Simultaneous interpreting service require the contracting of a minimum of two interpreters per booth, or two interpreters for chuchotage. Chuchotage or whispered interpreting shall not be used in case more than one target language is needed, not to compromise the quality of the service. Solely at the discretion of Mauromorabito.com, the Client may contract a single interpreter, and only when the duration of an event does not exceed one and a half hour.
• When contracting any interpreting service, the Client shall provide sufficient prior notification both of the nature and of the subject matter of the event.
• With regard to the technical and terminological preparation of the interpreting service, the Client shall provide Mauromorabito.com with the most complete documentation possible, in each of the languages to be employed during the event, including for example:

  * conference programme, agenda
  * abbreviations' list
  * presentations, papers, abstracts
  * scripts if the texts are to be read aloud
  * relevant reports
  * minutes or publications of earlier meetings and events
  * corporate profiles (annual reports, corporate history, company brochures, etc.)
  * product catalogues
  * competitive environment
  * relevant legislation (national and international laws, EU legislation)
  * relevant websites and links
  * relevant and industrial standards
  * subject-related publications
  * list of conference participants, speakers and a short description of their career biographies
  * documents referred to in the papers or which may come up during discussions: drafts, expert opinions, correspondence, statistics, etc.
  * in-house terminology data bases
  

• The interpretation of audiovisual material (films, videos, etc.) screened during the event shall be carried out solely if it has been mentioned and agreed upon contracting the interpreting service. For this purpose, the interpreters shall be provided with direct sound of the audiovisual material via their headphones and shall have received a copy of the corresponding script with sufficient notice.
  

• Mauromorabito.com does not guarantee the availability of interpreters until such time as having received the Client's acceptance of the issued quotation.
• Interpretation services are billed per half day or full day. After the 8-hour working day (comprehensive of all breaks) used as reference, each extra hour or fraction of hour will be treated and invoiced accordingly.
• The Client is to be responsible for the payment of all mutually established and duly justified costs incurred by the interpreters during the realisation of the agreed service (travel and accommodation, allowances, preparation time when requested, etc.)
• The minimum billing period for any simultaneous interpreting service is one half day.

Cancellation of an interpreting service
Should the Client cancel the contracted services with a notice of more than fifteen days prior to the date of the event, no action will be taken. Should the Client cancel the contracted services with a notice of less than fifteen days prior to the date of the event, the service shall be considered as provided, and the full fee, in accordance with the contract signed, shall be invoiced to the Client.

Payment
The full amount of each bill issued for interpreting, translation and linguistic services is to be paid within 30 days from the reception of the corresponding invoice. In case of late payment, due interests will be applied according to European Directive 2000/35/EC and Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2002.

Confidentiality
All interpreters and staff contracted by Mauromorabito.com sign a declaration of confidentiality, whereby Mauromorabito.com ensures that all information obtained directly or indirectly in the exercise of the assignment for the Client falls under professional secrecy and is handled with strict confidentiality. Confidential information shall not be disclosed under any circumstances to third parties.
