simultaneous interpreting the best quality ever achievable in interpreting, no delay and no limitation as per language number. Each participant, listener or discussant is able to intervene and to follow the conference in his or her own language, interacting in what would be for him or her a complete virtual mono-linguistic environment. It's left to the interpreters (at least 2 per booth) to bridge the communication flow in real time, providing interpretation in as many languages as it is needed.

consecutive interpreting flexibility, no specific technical equipment needed, but the duration of the event expands considerably, as the interpreter has to translate in between the pauses of the speaker.

whispered interpreting or chuchotage a simultaneous interpretation where the interpeters (at least 2) are whispering in the ears of not more than one or two listeners. Not suitable for most meetings, is less functional and less qualitative than the normal simultaneous interpreting done with the interpreters in their booths.

liaison interpreting the interpreter works as a facilitator between two parties. No technical equipment is needed and the focus is on the parties' mutual understanding and on the issues at stake. The interpreter finds each time the best approach and strategies to mediate between the parties and allow for a smooth and natural dialogue.
